Fine Pen Retailer, Executive Essentials, Looks Forward to 2010
(PRWEB) January 6, 2010 -- Executive Essentials, an Internet retailer of fine pens, leather goods, briefcases and executive gifts, hosted their annual conference at their corporate campus in Mount Prospect, IL. Scheduled just prior to the new year, the focus of the evening was to update employees with brand knowledge of new products and to establish key promotional messages. With over twenty fine pen, briefcase and small leather goods manufacturers represented, the event was a huge success. It was a great way to kick-off 2010 for this fine pen and leather goods retailer.
A large number of pen (http://www.executiveessentials.com/Pens) and leather goods vendors were represented including: A.T.Cross, Faber-Castell, Aurora, Ducati, Jaguar, Libelle, Mercedes, Omas, Tibaldi, Parker, Waterman, Bramble & Brown, Knomo, Lodis and Johnston & Murphy. The Director of E-commerce marketing at Executive Essentials, Renee Silverman, commented: “Our annual pen, briefcase and leather accessory conference is a great opportunity to provide our employees with valuable product information on fine pens and leather goods and it is extremely valuable to see the new products from our key vendors.”
Ms. Silverman also commented “Montblanc is a huge seller and an integral part of Executive Essentials’ success and we encourage all our employees to become intimately familiar with all Montblanc pens and leather goods merchandise (http://www.executiveessentials.com/Montblanc)
Another key selling point emphasized during the conference, the importance of offering engraving on Montblanc and other fine pens. In fact, one of the strengths of the 2009 holiday season was pen engraving, available only recently on the Executive Essentials website. Pen engraving proved to be very popular with individual and corporate buyers alike.”
The founder’s wife, Mrs. Frances Wein, was also in attendance. It was her husband, Irving Wein, who began Emporium Luggage, the parent company of Executive Essentials, over 62 years ago in 1947. Emporium Luggage, Irv’s Luggage and Executive Essentials has grown into a multimillion dollar luggage, handbag, fine pen and leather goods business and includes five stores and a very successful Internet marketing business selling popular brands including, Montblanc, Cross, Waterman, Parker, Faber-Castell and more. It was from the humble beginnings and vision of Mr. Wein, that this empire was launched.
The owners of Executive Essentials remain positive that the 2010 selling year will be stronger and the sluggish economy will begin to show signs of recovery. As David Wein, president of the company commented: “We are hopeful that consumers who have held off purchasing luxury goods for the past year will approach 2010 with an improved level of optimism that we haven’t seen in awhile.” Retailers throughout the industry echo Mr. Wein’s sentiments, however the jury is still out. We as Americans are all ready to see economic stability return to this great country of ours and with another successful conference behind them Executive Essentials (http://www.executiveessentials.com/) looks forward to a prosperous new year.
